Privacy Policy

What this site is

theruckcalculator.com ("we", "the site") provides free rucking calculators, training guides, and gear recommendations. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it's used, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Calculator inputs: Body weight, ruck weight, distance, pace, and similar values you enter into our calculators are processed in your browser to show you a result. We do not require an account, and calculator inputs are not sent to our servers to be stored.
• Local storage: Some calculators (e.g. the progress tracker) can save your session history in your browser's local storage so it's there next time you visit on the same device. This data stays on your device — it is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
• Standard web logs: Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and operational purposes.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not currently use its own tracking cookies or a web analytics tool (no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels are installed by us). If that changes, this page will be updated to reflect it. Our hosting provider and any content-delivery network may set technical cookies necessary to serve the site; these are not used to track you across other websites.

Third parties

• Amazon Associates: This site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link on this site and make a purchase, Amazon may set its own cookies and collect information according to Amazon's own privacy notice — we do not control or see that data.
• Google Fonts: This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) to display text consistently. Loading a font may send your browser's IP address to Google as part of the standard HTTP request for that resource.
• Hosting / CDN: Our hosting provider processes standard web traffic to serve the site's pages, as described under "Standard web logs" above.

Amazon content disclosure

CERTAIN CONTENT THAT APPEARS ON THIS SITE COMES FROM AMAZON. THIS CONTENT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR REMOVAL AT ANY TIME.

Your choices

• You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to remove any saved calculator history.
• You can use your browser's privacy/incognito mode or block third-party cookies to limit what Amazon or Google Fonts can see when you interact with their resources via this site.
• If you have questions about this policy or want something removed, reach out via the contact details on the site (or the domain's WHOIS/registration contact).

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes (for example, if we add analytics or new third-party tools in the future). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
